Talk on inverse problems in earth sciences
I will give a talk titled “Solving Inverse Problems in Earth Sciences with Diffusion, GNNs, and Transformers” at the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Boğaziçi University.
The talk will take place online on July 2, 2026 at 14:00.
The talk will discuss how physics-aware deep learning can support ill-posed inverse problems in earth sciences: diffusion models for posterior distributions, neural-network solvers for subsurface imaging, graph neural networks and transformers for joint inversion across seismic stations, and convolution-transformer models for seismic phase picking.
